Challenges continue over here at The Comic Jam. This week: you only have a single panel to tell a complete story. Go!

Story, Art, and Letters by Jack Van Thomme
Story by Philip Butehorn | Art and Letters by Quinn Butler
Story by Christian De Matteo | Art and Letters by Jack Van Thomme

Bayley Gillier (He/Him) is a writer from Ottawa, Canada with a passion for storytelling and role playing games who is trying really hard to be everything at the same time, which is going better than you’d think. You can find the games he’s made over at https://bakure.itch.io/ for free. You can also follow him @baygilly on Twitter if you would like.

Ryan always enjoyed reading comics and copying the images, from Beano to the Real Ghostbusters to the Punisher. He joined a charity art group a few years ago which really got him back in to putting pen to paper. Now he is here at The Comic Jam and is getting to produce some great comics with other creatives.

Kevin D. Lintz is a comic book letterer, writer, and editor. He learned his skills in a Comics Experience class and honed them on the mean streets of his all-ages comic book, Team SLUG. He startles his family by making sound effect noises out loud to try and translate them into written words. He has even watched “Helvetica”, the full-length feature movie about the font Helvetica. https://lintzlettering.com/

Jack Van Thomme illustrates comics and pitches in when he can. You can see the things he likes to draw and read the things he likes to talk about on Twitter and Instagram @Real_JackVT https://www.instagram.com/real_jackvt/

Daniel G. Wilson (he/they) is a Jamaican-Canadian writer, music journalist, musician, and screenwriter based in Ontario, Canada. A lifelong lover of comics, genre fiction, and all things punk, he spends his time researching different cultures and playing Zelda Games. You can follow him generally on Instagram and on his band JONCRO s Twitter. You can also read some of his writing with the Canadian Co-Op/online magazine New Feeling.

Rachel (she/her) is a California based artist with a quirky style, as she has been told. She likes cartoons, cute things, and spooky/creepy things. Puns, dark humor, and aged references are perfecto. See her work at https://www.instagram.com/rachelghenry/.

Luke W. Henderson (They/Them) is a writer of comics, prose, and poetry. Their work has been published in multiple anthologies and zines including Corrupting the Youth, Sage Cigarettes, and The Dark Side of Purity Vol. 3 (Bands of Bards) with upcoming works in Project Big Hype Vol. 3 and Comics from the Kitchen (Foreign Press Comics).

Phillip Butehorn is a husband, father, and suburban horror writer. In 2020, he had comic shorts published in several anthologies: Heroes Needs Masks, Zombies: We’re Humans Too Vol 2, Housebound, and Nightmare Theater. In 2021, Phil plans on owning the anthology comic market. Including the Neverland Anthology, Phil will have stories in Monster Mashup Vol 2, Fletcher Cross, and Not So Fair Tales anthologies. https://twitter.com/theilluminerdi/

Christian De Matteo is a writer and college professor, founder of Tellworthy.com and co-founder of FugitivePoems.com with artist-extraordinaire James Lines. He loves all forms of art and entertainment, enjoys long walks on the beach and other less sandy locations, and is fatally allergic to fluffy cats (in case you wanted to get rid of him). He can be found pontificating/dad-joking on Twitter: @CDMetc and @FugitivePoems. He cannot draw. Like at all.
